At Centro, we provide wraparound services designed to meet the cultural and linguistic needs of Latino families. Whether you need help navigating systems, healing from trauma, or building new opportunities, we are here for you. All services are available in Spanish and English.

Our mission

To alleviate hardships and amplify the voices of Hispanic/Latino communities in Southern Colorado.

Our Vision

To create a thriving, resilient Hispanic/Latino community where individuals can live with dignity, without fear, and in a safe environment.

Core Values

Cultural Humility: Listening, learning, and serving with respect.

Intergenerational Solidarity: Lifting up wisdom across generations.

Dignity in Every Encounter: Meeting every person with compassion and respect.

Language as Power: Ensuring equity and identity through
language access.

Collective Care: Responding to trauma with community support.

Joyful Resistance: Celebrating culture, resilience, and victories.

Our History

Centro de la Familia began over 30 years ago when two Latina mental health professionals recognized a gap in services for Spanish-speaking families in El Paso County. In 1996, Centro officially became a nonprofit organization. Since then, we have grown into a holistic community agency, offering bilingual counseling, advocacy, immigration support, and youth programs. Today, Centro remains the only nonprofit in the region dedicated exclusively to the Latino community.

OUR IMPACT

By sharing both measurable outcomes and personal stories, we honor the strength of our community and the power of culturally responsive support. These are the lives you help transform when you stand with Centro.
